    The good news is, the mod works perfectly. I've left it for weeks with no discharging. Why they made it the way they did I'll never understand.

    Just an update. Many months later, and still the battery remains charged once I switch it off using my mod.

    Again, it's completely baffling why they wouldn't just build it properly to begin with so the power is completely disconnected from the battery when it's off. Oh well, at least for me this device is actually useful now.

    Self-discharge with any power needed to plug in USB to computer is thing making this device completely useless. I rly regret that I spent money for this product.

    If you're good with a soldering iron or know someone who is, try the mod I posted.
